Eagle Maker Hub

Eagle Maker Hub

Get Your Making Fix

Â鶹´«Ã½'s Eagle Maker Hub is the first public makerspace available at a Mississippi university, providing access to tools for digital fabrication, rapid prototyping and coding.

The Eagle Maker Hub is one of only a few in the nation to focus on education and the only one that incorporates digital fabrication into content area instruction for future teachers.

Experience Technology

At the Eagle Maker Hub, we are developing new ways to inspire learning in traditional subjects with the latest fabrication technology, and our goal is to place this technology in the hands of all students, their teachers and future teachers. At our makerspace, Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s education students have unique opportunities to experience technology integration in the classroom and participate in authentic research.

We also encourage community engagement through open classes and individual or group prototyping consultations. Our doors are open to all students, faculty, staff and members of the community.

Summer Camps | June 2-26, 2025

Explore, build, and code your way through an exciting summer of STEM learning! Whether you're just starting out or ready to tackle advanced robotics, there's a camp for you. Day camps from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. held in the Student Activities Hub, Room 109 on the Hattiesburg campus.

Bits and Bots (June 2–5)

For upcoming 3rd–5th graders

This fun and engaging camp introduces younger students to the world of coding and robotics through playful, hands-on activities. Campers will explore basic programming concepts using age-appropriate platforms and tools designed for early learners. They'll build simple robots, create interactive stories, and solve mini challenges—all while developing critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.

🚀 Perfect for:
Budding young tech explorers looking to take their first step into STEM.

Introduction to Robotics (June 9–12)

For upcoming 5th–8th graders

In this foundational robotics camp, middle-grade students get a hands-on introduction to building and programming robots. Using intuitive robotics kits and visual coding platforms, campers will learn to use sensors, motors, and logic to complete real-world tasks. Structured lessons and open-ended challenges encourage learning and innovation.

🚀 Perfect for:
Students with little or no experience ready to dive into robotics.

Introduction to Robotics (June 16–19)

For upcoming 7th–12th graders

Designed for older students, this camp offers a deeper dive into robotics, engineering, and computer science fundamentals. Campers will build and program more complex robotic systems, explore autonomous movement, and integrate sensor technology. Collaborative projects foster creativity and problem-solving, with preparation for high school robotics competitions included.

🚀 Perfect for
: Beginners or those looking to build a strong foundation in robotics.

Autonomous Robotics (June 23–26)

For upcoming 7th–12th graders

This advanced camp challenges experienced students to take their skills to the next level. With guidance from engineers and robotics team members, campers will design and program autonomous robots to complete complex, real-world-inspired tasks. Using advanced logic, sensor integration, and navigation algorithms, students will work collaboratively to innovate and solve problems.

🚀 Perfect for: Students with prior robotics or coding experience ready for high-level challenges. High school and college competition prep included.
